NCWA National Championship Tournament
#1
The tournament is live on Track.

http://s201.trackwrestling.com/tw/Login....y=&gbId=70

Quickly browsed the brackets and saw this:

125 - Ben Smith (Shorter / Buckhorn) - 2-0, 2 pins, made it to championship qtr finals
149 - Greg Artalona (Auburn / Huntsville High) - 1-1, still alive in the consolation bracket
157 - Jordan Killough (Auburn / Prattville) - 2-1, 1 TF - still alive in the consolation bracket
285 - Marlen Morgan (Shorter / Buckhorn) - 2-0, 1 pin, made it to championship qtr finals

I thought I recognized a couple of other Alabama names but not sure.

Update: Artalona won 8-3 and Killough won by pin to advance cons rd 5. Both wrestlers need 2 more wins to reach NCWA All American status.

Ben Smith and Terrence Smith are both wrestling for the National Championship today!!!! If they win, will they be the first to win a National Championship from Alabama?

Also, Marlon Morgan, Carl Brown, Greg Artalona, and Deondre Beck have all reached All-American status!!! Quite a showing for Alabama Wrestling.

Bamagrappler,
Thanks for the list, as usual a fountain of information.

I didn't realize we had so many guys competing in the NCWA... AL has really come on strong over the last year or 2!

Now we just need a few more at the D1 and D2 level!
